Last weekend saw us off on our travels to the Highlands for a series of three concerts in Strathpeffer, Dornoch and Inverness.
The Spa Pavilion in Strathpeffer was the setting for the first of our concerts together with our friends from Dingwall Gaelic Choir for an enjoyable evening of music-making with a capacity audience.
Saturday saw us heading off to Dornoch and Dornoch Cathedral for a concert to help raise funds for the Cathedral Church Hall refurbishment. The good people of Dornoch turned out in huge numbers and the choir enjoyed a great afternoon of singing for them and were very kindly rewarded with a standing ovation at the end. Thank you Dornoch.
The Cathedral Church of St. Andrew was our destination on Sunday afternoon for a fundraising concert in aid of Marie Curie Scotland North.
Wow ! What an amazing concert and what a wonderful audience and another standing ovation. Feedback from the audience was complimentary to the point of embarrassment, one individual was moved to contact us through our website to say…
“I attended your concert in Inverness yesterday just by chance. I have been a professional musician for the last 40 years, singing and playing all over the globe. I’d just like to say that I have never cried so much as during your amazing performance of Eternity.
Speechless ! Thank you so so much.”
The concert raised approximately £2500 for Marie Curie. Our thanks to the Marie Curie team in Inverness for all their organising efforts and generous hospitality. We look forward to returning at some time in the future.
