Thank you for the music

In September 1987 a young (very young, even !) , recently graduated, musician was recruited as accompanist to the Glasgow Phoenix Choir by then conductor Peter Shand. Fast forward thirty years and Cameron Murdoch, accompanist and Depute Conductor is still with us (and still young !). The choir has benefited greatly from his input over the years, not only as accompanist but as Depute Conductor and arranger of many of the pieces performed in concert by the choir. To recognise this contribution and celebrate his 30th. Anniversary the choir presented Cameron with a ‘Phoenix Long Service Wave’ and a celebration cake (specially made and decorated by one of our choristers).Cameron, “Thank You For The Music” over the last thirty years and, we hope, for many years to come.
